Challenge
The project required shaping a 4+ minute corporate video for the NTU–PSL Joint Lab, with dense scientific content, footage spanning multiple research labs, and feedback from several stakeholders. The edit also needed to meet NTU’s corporate branding standards while remaining clear and engaging for a broad audience, all within a tight production timeline.
Approach
Refined the edit through pacing, footage selection and restructuring, removing less relevant sequences and simplifying lengthy captions. Reworked on-screen typography and caption treatments to improve readability, incorporated the four research thrusts, and aligned visual elements with NTU’s brand guidelines. Fact-checked and refined copy, while coordinating multiple rounds of stakeholder feedback into the revised cut.
Impact
Delivered a more focused and polished corporate video that clearly communicated the Joint Lab’s purpose, research areas and collaboration. The revised edit improved information hierarchy and readability while maintaining a professional visual language suitable for a high-profile institutional ceremony.
Challenge
Transform a collection of anniversary materials—including articles, milestones, infographics and institutional imagery—into a cohesive ceremonial opening video. With only one day to develop the presentation, the challenge was to establish a clear visual narrative while maintaining the institution’s established corporate identity.
Approach
Developed a book-inspired visual concept, using animated page turns to transition between campus imagery, historical milestones and key initiatives. Applied pacing based on the hierarchy and significance of each visual, while using transitions, supers and animation to build towards a final reveal of key institutional figures.
Impact
Turned a static collection of corporate and archival materials into an engaging ceremonial opening piece, giving the anniversary content a clear narrative flow and a more dynamic visual presence. The final sequence culminated in a polished portrait reveal designed to create a strong closing moment.
